日帰り手術の山本醫院 最新レーザー導入
下肢静脈瘤の日帰り手術を実施している山本醫院（福山市引野町北、山本裕院長）はこのほど、新たに課題を克服した保険適応の最新型レーザー装置を導入した。
今年５月１日から最新型レーザー装置が新たに保険適応となり、すぐに同医院では導入、広島県内で初めの手術を開始している。最新レーザーは波長がこれまでの980nmから1470nmとなり水に特異的に吸収されるため、静脈だけをよく焼くことが可能になった。また管の先端から管の延長方向にレーザーを照射していたこれまでのタイプと違い、管の円周方向に均一にレーザーを照射する全周性照射レーザーを実現した。これらによりほぼ血管だけを短時間に確実に閉鎖することが可能になったため、術後の痛みと皮下出血が大幅に抑えられると期待されており、たまたま新旧装置で左右の足の下肢静脈手術を使い分ける結果となった患者さんはその違いに驚いているという。
