セブンイレブン御調で瀬戸田レモンケーキ
コンビニの中でも「本部の制約が厳しい」とされているセブンイレブンの１オーナーが、瀬戸田のレモン菓子業者が作るケーキを店内一等地のレジ前に専用ディスプレイを設置して販売する、というチャレンジを始めた。
セブンイレブン広島御調店（尾道市御調町）の尾崎洋介オーナーが、６月にあった尾道しまなみ商工会総会での出会いをきっかけに、（株）パティスリーオクモト（同瀬戸田町中野）の奥本隆三社長と意気投合。まず「２社でできることを」と、出会ってわずかというスピード感で瀬戸田レモンケーキ「島ごころ」の販売を決めた。帰省をにらみレジ前で７月29日から１カ月間販売、それ以降スイーツコーナーに移す。百貨店や駅、高速道路ＳＡなどで販路拡大しコンビニでは初の販売となる奥本社長も「製造と販売のプロが同じ価値観を共有できた」と喜び、尾崎オーナーも「お客様の声を含めた情報の共有が新しいビジネスチャンスにつながる。スタッフも面白がってくれています」と期待を話す。
